The Sierra Leone Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SLCCI) is the leading private sector organization in Sierra Leone. The SLCCI promotes and protects the interests of businesses in Sierra Leone. The ECTN is a document that is required for all shipments of goods from Sierra Leone. The ECTN must be obtained from the Sierra Leonean Embassy or Consulate before goods can be shipped. The ECTN is valid for one year from the date of issuance.

    The Export Control act is the legal framework that governs the export of strategic goods and technology from Sierra Leone. The act is administered by the Directorate of Trade and Investment, under the Ministry of Trade and Industry. To export controlled goods or technology from Sierra Leone, you must first obtain an export permit from the Directorate of Trade and Investment. The permit application must be accompanied by a completed consignment information form, which must be certified by the Customs and Excise Department. Once the permit has been issued, the goods must be presented to the Customs and Excise Department for clearance. The Customs Declaration must be accompanied by the export permit, and the goods must be declared to Customs in the prescribed manner.

    The export of controlled goods or technology from Sierra Leone is subject to a number of restrictions and controls. These include
