GUINEA BISSAU
The Republic of Guinea-Bissau is located in West Africa. The country is bordered by Senegal to the north and Guinea to the south and east. Guinea-Bissau has a tropical climate with a rainy season from June to November. The country's economy is mostly based on agriculture. The main crops are rice, millet, peanuts, cashews, and timber. Fishing is also an important part of the economy. The official languages of Guinea-Bissau are Portuguese and African languages. The majority of the population is Muslim. The government of Guinea-Bissau is a republic.
The head of state is the President, who is elected by popular vote. The Prime Minister is the head of government and is appointed by the President. Guinea-Bissau is a member of the United Nations, the African Union, and the Economic Community of West African States.
