The Djibouti Ports and Free Zone Authority has said that the ECTN procedure will be required for any goods entering Djibouti ports. By June 15th, 2023, shippers, exporters, or freight forwarders must get it at the port of loading since it will be necessary. The ECTN number must also be on the bill of lading. For the safety and security of the port facilities in Djibouti, this is being enforced, and any cargo that arrive without an ECTN number may encounter difficulties clearing customs and may be subject to fines.

What is the difference between CTN Certificate and ECTN Certificate?

Basically, the Electronic Cargo Tracking Note (ECTN) and the Cargo Tracking Note (CTN) are the same document with different names.

Can I make amendments to a validated Gambia CTN document?

It depends on the country it has been loaded from. In certain cases, we can amend the certificate.

Can I use the same CTN number for various shipments?

No, CTN is unique and reserved only for one shipment. Every shipment must have a validated CTN number.
